It appears a Big Ten football contender has lost a major offensive weapon.

According to multiple reports, including CBS and ESPN, star Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart is in danger of missing the entire 2025 season after he suffered a knee injury this week.

Oregon has not confirmed the reports.

Stewart, a Texas A&M transfer, is Oregon’s most experienced player at the position.

The former 5-star prospect caught 48 passes for 613 yards and 5 touchdowns last season, but injuries have been an issue throughout this career.

He missed Oregon’s 41-21 loss in the Rose Bowl to Ohio State due to a lower back injury.

The Ducks won the Big Ten in their first season in the league and are once again among the favorites in 2025. Michigan product Dante Moore is expected to take over at quarterback, but who his top target will be is now a major question.

Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden are gone while Justius Lowe and Gary Bryant Jr. return.

Oregon also brought in former Florida State and Alabama WR Malik Benson, but perhaps most significant is the arrival of five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore — the No. 9 overall player in the 2025 class.

The Ducks were 12-0 last season before the loss to the Buckeyes in Pasadena.

Neither Michigan or Michigan State are scheduled to play the Ducks this season.
