Pundit thinks one Spurs player made Harry Kane left personally after certain comments

After remarking on Tottenham’s prospects without Harry Kane, Darren Bent believes Son Heung-min would have been driven to prove a point this season.

When Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer left for Bayern Munich in the summer, several analysts understandably wondered where the Lilywhites would get their goals from this season and completely wrote them off from the race for European qualification.

In fact, pundits like Gabby Agbonlahor of Football Insider and Paul Merson of Sky Sports even predicted that Spurs would find it difficult to place in the top half of the standings this year.

Eight games into the season, though, Ange Postecoglou’s team leads the standings with 20 points after winning six and drawing two.

Heung-min Son took Harry Kane chatter personally

Bent thinks that Kane’s departure has benefited Son because the South Korean has been effective in front of goal, scoring six goals thus far.

The pundit had this to say about the Tottenham captain (07/10/23 at 12:15 PM): “He has been excellent. Kane leaving is nearly a gift.

He started out a little slowly, playing from the left. But ever since switching to center-forward and playing that opening match against Burnley, he hasn’t turned around. a really smart football player.

“When the objective is being approached by the turmoil. He constantly keeps a little distance. give yourself some room. We all know he is a really, really fantastic finisher once he finds that space in the box. His ability to score with both feet is one of his greatest assets. When he is fully in motion, nobody can catch him.

When Kane left, they switched him to center-forward, and he said, “Do you know what? I can score the goals,” he said, adding that he has been fantastic this season. It almost seems as though he took it personally, in my opinion.

“When everyone pondered, ‘How would they survive without Harry Kane? They’ll probably complete the bottom half. He argued that he could move the club ahead and is currently doing so.

When Kane has been injured in the past, Son has stepped up and produced. In light of this, he would undoubtedly have enjoyed the chance to assume leadership of the team after the departure of the England captain.
