Liverpool have admired and watched West Ham attacker Jarrod Bowen for many years as he’s been among the names mentioned to replace Mo Salah, according to the Athletic.

The news source emphasized the similarities between the two players in light of the ongoing rumors that the Egypt international will leave Anfield.

He had interest from Saudi Arabian teams and a Premier League-record-breaking offer, but he chose to stay in Merseyside.

Big money needed

It will undoubtedly be difficult for Bowen to decline a move to Anfield if Liverpool knocks on his door.

They can provide him with opportunities to play in the Champions League and fight for championships on a yearly basis.

Salah would, however, go to Saudi Arabia for enormous money, so if he does, they can afford to pay a premium for Bowen.

West Ham does not permit their great players to leave on the cheap, as was the case with Declan Rice, and Bowen is one of the club’s most valuable assets along with Lucas Paqueta.

The Hammers won’t be concerned about that right now because it’s unlikely Salah will depart in January, but this issue might arise next summer.

On the right side, Mohammed Kudus seems like a good alternative, and perhaps the proceeds from Bowen’s sale can be used to sign a new striker.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have decided to move Jesse Lingard after a recent development.

Micah Richards has suggested that West Ham United acquire Manchester United’s Scott McTominay.

In the summer transfer window, Scott McTominay of Manchester United was heavily linked to a move to West Ham (Sky Sports).

But in the end, Man United held out for about £45 million, which is £15 million more than West Ham were willing to pay, and the 26-year-old stayed at Old Trafford.

I believe that McTominay would have been an excellent addition for Hammers boss David Moyes, but the Scot signed James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez in the end, so you won’t hear any complaints from me.

However, even with the additions of the Englishman and the Mexican, one pundit is still tipping the Scot to sign for West Ham…

Micah Richards suggests player leaves Premier League giants to join West Ham

The Sky Sports pundit has delivered his verdict on Man United star McTominay.

Richards told The Rest is Football podcast that West Ham would be the ideal club for him to join:

“West Ham we said, it was West Ham. Yeah, I just think he’s a really intelligent, hard-working midfielder who can do a job whatever you tell him. It’s just the chaos of Manchester United or the player who they had in the past, so they are always comparing him to Keane or Scholes and it’s always going to be difficult. But there is a player in there, I think he’s fantastic.”

I wholeheartedly concur with Micah Richards.

However, I will admit that given Moyes’s summer transfer activity, I’m not sure we genuinely need the Manchester United midfielder at the London Stadium anymore.

Even with Declan Rice gone, West Ham are currently in decent shape in the center midfield.

Despite this, if the opportunity does arise to bring McTominay to the London Stadium, I still wouldn’t turn my back on it.
